What changed, in the words of the people it happened to
Five organisations that worked with Ei Openers: a manufacturer with an international dealer network, a logistics group, two partners in packaging technology, a hydraulics business under new ownership and a food-processing specialist. Different situations, one pattern: the difference was made by people, not by the technology.
An international dealer conference that did not stay a conference
Dealer management and commercial people gained insight quickly, and enthusiastically, into how psychology can work for them.
Situation
As host of their international dealer conference, Knapen brought dealer management and commercial teams from across Europe into one room. Different countries, different backgrounds, different interests. They did not want a theoretical story.
Ei Openers
Several sessions for dealer management and commercial teams, built on the practice of dealers, commercial teams and manufacturer. The central question: how do psychology and company culture strengthen cooperation, as part of the work rather than as a separate topic.
Result
The cooperation did not stop at the conference. Organisational questions are still discussed regularly: what is happening in practice, where behaviour or cooperation starts to chafe, and which choices are needed to move on.
A new owner who did not want to carry it alone
Nobody holds their cards to their chest. That openness has given me a lot.
Situation
JanJohan took over Been Hydrauliek in 2021. A new owner with ambition, and with the questions that come with a takeover.
Ei Openers
He joined the Leaders of Tomorrow group, where young entrepreneurs meet experienced ones. He finished the programme but stayed in the group, and still takes one-to-one sessions.
Result
Grown from four to fourteen employees in three years. His own words on why the group works: many of the problems he ran into were already being solved elsewhere; someone just had to help him see what was really going on.
Two partners, one growing company
Only when you step back from the daily rush do you see clearly where the strength and the friction in your cooperation are.
Situation
When they became partners they knew that a good click is not enough. As a company grows, roles, responsibilities and decision making need to be sharper than habit and mutual trust allow.
Ei Openers
Leaders of Tomorrow looked past the daily operation at the structure underneath it. Where does each of them have natural strength? Where do they take over too much from each other? And where is nobody stepping in?
Result
A partnership built to survive growth, with clearer roles and decisions instead of a heavier workload.
An experienced entrepreneur who came to give and left with something
Your own story gets sharper when other people look at it differently.
Situation
An entrepreneur with decades in logistics, invited to share his experience with a group of young, ambitious people. Rewarding, and not without nerves.
Ei Openers
He joined as a host and speaker in the network. What he found was not one-way traffic: he got insight back, from participants and from other speakers and experts.
Result
The questions and perspectives of a younger generation forced him to re-examine his own assumptions, sometimes confirming what he does, sometimes confronting him with what is possible.
A relationship, not a single training
The strength is in the combination of directness, craftsmanship and involvement.
Situation
What began as personal contact and mutual trust grew into a lasting cooperation, with a shared conviction: development only has value when people can use it in their daily work.
Ei Openers
Among other things a practical AI training that gets people moving, plus ongoing sparring on ideas, choices and organisational questions.
Result
Because there is trust, the honest conversation is possible. Not to be right, but to see more sharply together what is actually going on.
